Sailor Moon, created by Naoko Takeuchi and serialized as a manga in December 1991, is objectively one of the most popular and influential Japanese manga series of all time. It tells the story of Usagi Tsukino, a 14-year-old schoolgirl (and reincarnated princess) who becomes the Sailor Senshi (aka Sailor Guardian) Sailor Moon after meeting a talking cat named Luna on the way to school.

Trigun is a classic late 90s sci-fi space Western taking place on a desert planet literally called, No Man's Land. The Protagonist, Vash the Stampede isn't your typical strong and stoic gunslinger. Rather he's a quirky goofy guy in an awesome red duster coat with a hyperactive pacifist streak. The story explores Vash's journey to uncover his amnesiac past, battle the mysterious group hunting him, and discover why he has a 60 Billion Double Dollar bounty on his head. What makes Trigun truly stand out are the unique stylistic character and weapon designs, as well as the twisting plot that you understand more and more on every rewatch. The series returns in Trigun Stampede in 2023.
Dragon Ball Z was a gateway drug for many a young anime fan, and for good reason. The series isn't particularly deep, as it basically revolves around superhuman martial artist Goku and his friends testing their mettle against an increasingly powerful and outlandish series of foes. But what the series lacks in terms of plot, it more than makes up for in humor, kooky characters and incredible action. How can you not have fun with a martial arts fantasy where most of the characters are strong enough to shatter planets with their bare hands
The second Sailor Moon Abridged series to debut, Megami33's version is notable for having the highest quality and the longest run. It was one of the first abridged series to be created and voiced by a group rather than having only one or two creators. The origins of the group are not known, though most of them were already friends before Sailor Moon Abridged began. As with most abridged series, at first the group produced an episode a week, but eventually the time between episodes increased as the production team had less time to work with and higher quality standards.
On October 26th, 2010, Megami33's account was terminated due to a copyright claim by Toei Animation. The claim was not successfully countered, so the series switched to hosting on Blip.tv (which has since also been terminated) and a backup Youtube channel SMAchannel.
In December 2014, the group made an announcement on Facebook about a major redesign of the website for the series, sailormoonabridged.com. The improved site includes links to all episodes sorted by season, cast biographies, and sections for fan-works, blog posts and upcoming events. The introductory blog post indicates that the team would still like to finish season 2 of the series, but due to time commitments it's difficult to say at this time if that will ever be realized.
Aside from the main body of the Sailor Moon series, Makoto features in her own manga short story, Mako's Depression. A number of image songs featuring her character have been released as well, including the contents of three different CD singles.
Her domestic talents are explained as a deliberate effort to overcome her tomboyishness.[6] In the live-action series she enjoys shopping, but eschews \"girly\" things (she can be seen shopping for basketball shoes in one scene, for instance[7]); she cooks, but also physically overpowers bullies; she reorganizes her home, but does so with a sledgehammer.[8] She insists that she is not the least bit feminine, and seems surprised and touched when someone tells her she is.[9]
As a character with different incarnations, special powers, transformations and extended longevity; a really long ageless lifetime virtually spanned between the Silver Millennium era and the thirtieth century, Makoto gains multiple aspects and aliases as the series progresses.
Makoto's Senshi identity is Sailor Jupiter. She wears a uniform colored in green and pink, with rose-shaped earrings and green, laced-up boots with height just above the ankles. In the manga and live-action series she has a belt carrying a small ball of potpourri[13]. She is given specific titles throughout the various series, including Soldier of Protection,[14] Herculean Jupiter,[15] Soldier of Thunder and Courage,[10], and Soldier of Caring.[16] Her personality is no different from when she is a civilian, although certain powers are unavailable to her in that form.
In the manga, Sailor Jupiter's first named attack is Flower Hurricane, which is immediately followed by calling down lightning.[31] Emphasis is quickly placed upon her electric-based powers, and these are the norm in all versions of the series.[32] Her primary attack for the first story arc and most of the second is Supreme Thunder,[33] for which she calls down lightning from the sky with a tiny lightning rod that extends from the stone on her tiara (or, in the live-action series, with her leg). Although she channels this power, she is not immune to its effects, and can use her body to focus the electricity in a suicide move.[34] It is upgraded twice for one-off attacks in the anime series: once to Supreme Thunder Dragon,[35] and much later to Super Supreme Thunder.[36]
Sailor Jupiter's earrings, large pink roses, are occasionally significant. She wears them in both her Senshi and civilian forms, and can use them as a projectile weapon if she needs to.[39] When they first meet in the manga, Usagi thinks the roses have a nice fragrance, and late in the anime the sight of them brings her back from temporary memory loss because it reminds her of Tuxedo Mask.[40] Much more important, in the manga, are the Jupiter Crystal and Leaves of Oak. The former is Makoto's Sailor Crystal and the source of all of her power, which becomes especially important in the fifth story arc. In the live-action series, she frequently uses unnamed electric attacks, and is given a tambourine-like weapon (the Sailor Star Tambo) by Artemis.[41] In the final episode, the Tambo transforms into a lance.
In the original anime production of Sailor Moon, Makoto is voiced by Emi Shinohara. For the English-language dub, the voice of Lita is provided by Susan Roman. She is the only significant human character in the English dub to be played by the same voice actress through the entire series run. Patricia Tollett also provides English vocals for songs sung by Lita in the English dub.
The protagonist of Sailor Moon, Usagi Tsukino, an ordinary ditsy clumsy middle-school girl - or so she herself thinks, at least - discovers a group of people (Kieran and his friends) and a mysterious talking black cat named Luna, who reveals Usagi's identity as \"Sailor Moon,\" a special warrior with the destiny of saving the planet Earth, and later the entire galaxy. Usagi who is the reincarnation of the Moon Princess must now protect Earth from a series of villains, beginning with Queen Beryl and the Dark Kingdom that had appeared once before, long ago, and destroyed the kingdom of the moon.
The characters in Sailor Moon awaken members of the court of the kingdom of the moon, and the people dedicated to protecting it. When the dark nemesis attacks the kingdom, the Queen sends the Moon Princess, her guardians and advisors and her true love, into the future to be reborn. As Usagi and Luna and Kieran and his friends battle evil and search for the Moon Princess, they meet the other Sailor Scouts, incarnations of the Moon Princess' protectors, and the mysterious Tuxedo Mask.
As the series progresses, Usagi and her friends learn more and more about the enemies they face and the evil force that directs them. The characters' pasts are mysterious and hidden even to them, and much of the early series is devoted to discovering their true identities and pasts. Luna, who teaches and guides the Sailor Scouts, doesn't know everything about their histories either, and the Senshi eventually learn that Usagi is the real Moon Princess. The Moon Princess' mother had her reborn as a Sailor Scouts to protect her. Gradually she discovers the truth about her own past life, her destined true love, and the possibilities for the future of the Solar System. 59ce067264
